In 2014, due to the construction work going on in Holy Mosque, the number of Pilgrims and the flight arrangements will follow the new Hajj Policy.
This year due to the construction work going on in Holy Mosque, the number of Pilgrims and the flight arrangements will follow the new Hajj Policy.
As always, this year as well, millions of Muslims will perform Umrah and Hajj. Hajj is a once in a lifetime opportunity for Muslim pilgrims. And consequently this one of the biggest religious gatherings will be held in October, this year. So the Muslims who want to perform this obligation this year must have planned and booked their trips towards Mecca.
This year booking flights for Hajj will be more difficult due to the increasing influx of Pilgrims in the Holy city of Mecca. It has been estimated that this year more than 2.5 million Muslims will come to the House of Allah to perform Hajj. Therefore, to accommodate this number Saudi Government has already started making Flight arrangements with countries all over the world, to transport pilgrims in time to perform their religious obligation.
Different Hajj and Ummrah services have already become active to arrange flights and bookings with their partner airline services. According to Abdul Hameed Aba Al Ari, the airport director at Jeddah airport, “We do not expect the number of would-be pilgrims arriving through the airport to exceed one million.” This is mainly due to the construction work going on in the Grand Mosque.
The flight arrangements for Hajj this year will be according to the new policies issued by the Saudi Government, which intend to limit the number of pilgrims coming from each country. Subsequently, there are many different airlines which will be serving the same purpose this year.
